In a shocking turn of events, a 14-year-old girl has been detained by police for allegedly stabbing her 35-year-old aunt during a heated argument at a flat in Jalan Prai Jaya earlier this morning.

Argument over family issues escalates
According to Seberang Prai Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris, the teenager had been staying with her aunt for the past four days due to family issues.
Reported by NST, this incident unfolded in the hall of the flat when a verbal argument erupted between the girl and her aunt.
The teenager reportedly wanted to return to her biological mother, but her aunt prevented her from doing so.
During the verbal exchange, the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim with a knife,” Helmi said.
Victim sustains stomach injuries
The aunt sustained injuries to the left side of her stomach and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Fortunately, her condition has not been reported as life-threatening.
Meanwhile, the teenage suspect has been detained to assist police with their investigations.
Suspect tested positive for drugs
According to Kosmo!, the suspect has been remanded for three days to facilitate investigations under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
Authorities have also revealed that the suspect tested positive for methamphetamine,
Helmi confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which pertains to causing hurt with a weapon.
If convicted, the offence carries a maximum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine, whipping, or a combination of these punishments.
