Unfortunately, it proved to be a little too late as the boy was pronounced dead at 2.02pm on the same day.

Found to have health complications

Naazron added that a post-mortem was performed on the victim’s body, where it was found that he suffered from a heart complication. He was also found to have suffered from asthma too, an ailment he had since he was little.

Police have since classified the case as sudden death (SDR).

Naazron called upon the public, particularly parents, to always send their children for medical checkups before letting them take part in sporting activities or competitions so that such tragedies will not happen.
