“My wish has come true, thank you all!” This was the heartfelt message from a 13-year-old girl, who comes from a single-parent family and is suffering from kidney failure.
Her childhood dream was to become a model and shine on stage. Now, with the help of Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia and a photography studio in Sabah, along with her primary doctors and nurses, she participated in a photoshoot, fulfilling her dream.

Hailing from Tamparuli, Sabah, and battling end-stage renal failure, Jessica, the youngest in her family, was raised by a single father. Her dream seemed distant given the family’s financial condition and the slim chances of receiving a kidney transplant.

However, thanks to the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia and Sabah Talent Shop, Jessica got to experience the glitz and glamour of a model.
She was able to confidently pose in front of the camera in stylish outfits, living a day as she had always dreamed.
Accompanied by a volunteer from the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia, Jessica and her sister, Jaslina, spent a day shopping for the perfect outfits for the photoshoot.
Jessica, a big fan of Korean pop music, has a particular fondness for black, white, and pink.

The chairman of the Children’s Wish Society of Malaysia, Teoh Teik Hoong thanked the collaborative partner, Sabah Talent Shop, for helping bring out Jessica’s radiant smile.
“She had a good time at the photo shoot with our volunteers Anita and Datuk Susan Chang and nurse, Sister Arlene who also joined in for some photos with her,” Teoh said.
He added that the society would continue to fulfil the wishes of sick children across the country, especially in Sabah and Sarawak.
As Jessica continues to bravely battle her illness, we wish her strength, courage and an abundance of smiles. May her dreams continue to light her way and may she inspire others with her resilience. Here’s to Jessica, a model not just on the camera, but in spirit too.
