What was supposed to be a routine health checkup at her secondary school led to a horrifying confession after a 13-year-old girl was found pregnant.
According to a police report which was lodged following the discovery, the teen alleged that her biological father had raped her since she was 11.
Pleaded not guilty
At the Muar Sessions Court today, the victim’s father, a plantation worker, was accused of committing the act at a house in Tangkak between 8am and 9am and between 9pm and 10pm in 2024 and January this year.

The charges were framed under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 30 years and whipping upon conviction.
The accused, who was unrepresented, pleaded not guilty to the charges, reported Harian Metro.
Bail request rejected
The accused also requested the court to grant him bail, but this was opposed by the prosecution, who said he was still in contact with the victim.
They also argued that the accused would pose a flight risk if he were to be granted bail as the safety of the victim needed to be taken into consideration.

After hearing submissions from both sides, the court rejected the accused’s bail application and fixed Sept 18 for the submission of documents and appointment of counsel for the accused.
