A 13-year-old boy faced a traumatic experience last Friday in Batu Caves when an unknown man molested him after he had gone out to buy nasi lemak.
The incident unfolded at 10 am, with the assailant approaching the teenager on a motorcycle as he walked alone post-meal purchase.

Providing details of the case, Gombak District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, disclosed that the 41-year-old suspect intercepted the victim, inviting him onto the motorcycle before taking him to the assailant’s residence, situated 700 meters away from the young boy’s home.
At the suspect’s residence, the 13-year-old endured the traumatic event before being handed RM20 and managing to flee back to his own house, reported Buletin TV3.
Suspect arrested
The victim recounted the incident to his parents, prompting them to report the assault to the police.

Following the report, the Gombak District Police swiftly took action, arresting the suspect at 1:50 am on Sunday.
The 41-year-old is currently under a six-day remand until this Friday, in accordance with Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017.
