The family of a 13-year-old girl is asking for the public’s help in locating the teenager, who vanished after she was dropped off at school in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
In a Facebook post, the girl’s aunt, Jaime Crystal, said her niece Gwen Mia, was sent to Sekolah Menengah Lok Yuk Likas yesterday morning (July 27) by her mother.
But when her mother came to the school in the evening to fetch her home, Gwen was nowhere to be found.
Checks with Gwen’s friends and school teachers also bore no results as neither of them had seen her.
Appeal for help
According to Jaime, she described Gwen as 155cm tall with long, black hair. She was last seen wearing a school pinafore with white shoes, along with a white bag with a floral pattern.
Jaime also urged the public to help in finding Gwen, especially parents who happen to have dashcam footage taken around the time Gwen was dropped off between 5.50am and 6.15am.
“Please check your footage to see if it captured a red sedan parked across the road. If you have any relevant footage, please contact me at 012-884 0233.
“If anyone has seen her or knows where she is, please just let us know. She might have gone home with a friend or gotten confused with pickup arrangements. We just want to make sure she’s safe,” she wrote.
We hope Gwen will be found safe and sound soon!
