As kids, we would do anything to see a smile on our friendsโ faces and in the midst of doing so, we might unintentionally resort to wrong methods to achieve this.
A mother recently shared how she came to discover how her daughter gave away RM3,000 in cash to her classmates due to a well-intentioned but misguided reason.

In a Threads post shared by @cikdat_, she wrote that her 11-year-old daughterโs teacher called her to inform her of the latterโs rather big act of generosity shown to her classmates.

According to the teacher, the young girl was seen handing out RM20, RM50, and RM100 bills despite having only a daily allowance of RM5.
Needless to say, the news didnโt sit well with @cikdat_, who was completely floored by the revelation.
โI was in tears when I heard about this. RM3,000 is no easy amount to earn and my daughter was giving it away so freely,โ she wrote.
โI only wanted to make them happyโ
Wanting to get to the bottom of the matter, @cikdat_ confronted her daughter and asked how she managed to get her hands on so much money.
As it turned out, the young girl had taken the money from the duit Raya given to her and her siblings and revealed the reason why she gave away RM3,000.

She assured me that she wasnโt bullied into giving her friends the money. She explained that she just wanted to give it to them because they looked happy when she did.
โShe also told me that she wanted to be like me after she saw me giving cash to other people like her grandparents and cousins. โWhen Mummy gives them money, they look happy and hug Mummy, so I wanted to be like Mummy'โ, she wrote.
After realising that her daughter simply wanted to be generous albeit in an erroneous manner, @cikdat_ said she spent time explaining to her that while it was good to be generous, taking her siblingsโ money without permission wasnโt.
She also added that she would be checking how much money her daughter brings to school every day as a precaution.
