In yet another surprising twist to the ongoing probe into 6-year-old Zayn Rayyan’s murder, his grandparents are the latest to be arrested by police as part of investigations.
According to The Star, Zayn’s grandfather and grandmother were nabbed by police at 2.30pm today (June 12).
This was later confirmed by Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

On May 31, Zayn’s parents Zaim Ikhwan Zahari and Ismanira Abdul Manaf were arrested by police and remanded for seven days starting on June 1 in order to aid investigations under Section 302 for murder.
Their remand order was later extended for another six days are is due to expire tomorrow (June 13).
Up until this point, Zayn’s father has proclaimed his innocence, saying that he had nothing to do with the boy’s murder.

Harian Metro further reported that Zayn’s mother provided a statement and did not make any confession at the Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court here today.
The couple is expected to know their fate tomorrow.
