Touch ‘n Go eWallet has launched a new Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) parking feature, allowing users to enter and exit designated parking locations without the need to use a physical card or scan a QR code.
According to Touch ‘n Go, the system will automatically deduct parking fees from the user’s TNG eWallet upon exit, ensuring a hassle-free experience. This feature is currently available at only 12 locations.
No minimum balance required
With this new feature, users simply need to register their vehicle license plate within the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app.
When entering a participating parking facility, the system will scan the vehicle’s license plate, and upon exit, the corresponding parking fee will be deducted automatically from their eWallet balance.

Unlike some other parking payment methods, the LPR system does not require users to maintain a minimum balance in their eWallet to enter the parking lot.
However, users must ensure they have sufficient funds in their eWallet before leaving to avoid being unable to exit.
