KUALA LUMPUR – A woman was found dead inside a Perodua Kancil which caught fire at Jalan 4/2, Bandar Baru Selayang early this morning.
The body was at the driver’s seat when the fire brigade rushed to put out the flames.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) director Norazam Khamis said they received a fire report at 4.25 am.
“A total of six firefighters from the Selayang Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene along with some machinery.


“Around 40% of the car was completely destroyed by the fire when the team arrived.
“It took them 15 minutes to extinguish the fire and they later found a body believed to be a woman’s at the driver’s seat,” he said.
Norazam added that the victim’s identify remains unknown and the forensic department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
