A shocking incident unfolded at the Jewel Changi Airport after a 56-year-old woman reportedly fell from a height yesterday (Oct 16).
According to CNA and Mothership, police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call for assistance at about 1.55pm at 78 Airport Boulevard, which is the address for Jewel Changi Airport.
Passersby try to save woman
In a TikTok clip, it showed several passersby crowding around what appeared to be an individual lying on the ground at level 1 of Jewel Changi Airport.

One of them was seen performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while waiting for medical assistance to arrive.
According to the caption, the person allegedly fell from the top floor and that members of the public stepped in to administer first-aid before medical personnel turned up.
Witness heard a loud “thud”
An eyewitness later told CNA that they were in the middle of cleaning their store at Level 2 of Jewel Changi Airport when they “heard a loud thud”.
I didn’t think too much about it, in my mind I was hoping ‘God forbid it was something bad that happened’, but my coworker went out to take a look and saw the body on the ground.

“The woman had fallen next to a seating area, and no one else appeared to have been injured.”
Passed away at hospital
SCDF said that one person was sent to Changi General Hospital in an unconscious state, where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.
CEO of Jewel Changi Airport Development Lee Ching Wern expressed his condolences, saying he was “deeply saddened by the incident” and working closely with the authorities.
Police investigations are currently underway.
