CCTV may not prevent a crime, but it does reveal the ugly truth, sometimes, the danger is right next door.
Residents at a housing apartment in Semenyih were left shaken after a woman was caught on CCTV cutting multiple fire hoses in broad daylight before fleeing the scene.
Woman cut emergency fire hoses

The footage, shared by TikTok user @norfatimahjamal, captured the woman calmly moving from floor to floor, cutting emergency fire hoses without hesitation.
What’s even more disturbing is the sheer scale of the damage; not one, but four floors of fire safety hoses were vandalised.
Not just one, but two involved

But it wasn’t a solo job. The resident who shared the footage revealed that two individuals were involved in what appeared to be a coordinated plan.
While one suspect distracted the security guard, the other pretended to deliver a package in order to slip past unnoticed and sabotage the hoses.
To make things worse, the pair reportedly swapped roles mid-act, making it even harder to trace their intentions at first glance.
Imagine if there had been an emergency that day
Thankfully, the household’s CCTV captured everything. Without it, residents would’ve likely dismissed the damage as an accident or blamed it on children playing.
Luckily, there was CCTV at home, otherwise we would’ve just thought it was kids playing,” the resident said.
“We didn’t notice anything at all.”
The video ends with a stark warning that resonated with many online:
Imagine if there had been an emergency that day. Please be careful, everyone. This isn’t a joke. This really happened.”
The incident has sparked serious concerns about safety and security in residential buildings, especially those that rely on communal fire safety systems.
5 to 8 fire hose nozzles were cut
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Fatimah, the resident who shared the CCTV footage confirmed that the incident took place on July 23, 2025, at around 4:30 PM.
She said the case has been reported to the Management Committee (MC)of the residential building, who are now taking further action.
“At the moment, the damaged fire hoses have not been replaced yet, but the MC has assured they will be taking steps to install new nozzles,” she said.
Fatimah also revealed that the sabotage wasn’t an isolated case.
“As far as I know, between 5 to 8 fire hose nozzles were cut,” she added.
When asked about filing a police report, Fatimah clarified that the matter would be handled by the MC, who plans to escalate the case to the authorities.
