Woman Blocks Car With Body To Let 2 SG-Registered Cars Cut Queue At JB Checkpoint

Not again.
Every now and then, we would hear or come across news of Singapore-registered cars doing less than pleasant things on Malaysian soil.

This time around, it involved a woman who used her own body as a ‘barricade’ to stop a car from moving forward so that two Singapore-registered vehicles could get ahead of the long queue.

OP provides more context on incident

Chua, who later spoke to Shin Min Daily News about the incident, said the event took place on Oct 31 at around 9.10pm when he was about to enter Singapore, reported China Press.

Since it was a public holiday, traffic was heavy and Chua said his eyes were on the road when he suddenly saw the woman appear beside his car, who cursed at him before blocking his car with her body and telling the SG-registered cars to cut queue.

She stood there for about 30 seconds and ignored my honking. Other cars that later passed my car from behind also honked.

“Furthermore, the car that the woman was riding in tried to switch lanes without turning on the signal lights,” he said.

Chua said he has since lodged a report with the Malaysian Land Transport Department the next day and gave the necessary information to the police.

He added that the woman’s actions were extremely dangerous as she could have gotten hit if he didn’t slam the brakes in time.

‘She wasn’t our passenger’

Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the transportation company which owned the two Singaporean-registered vehicles said the woman wasn’t a passenger of theirs and claimed they were unaware of what happened.

They added that the woman was travelling with a child in her car and had stood on the road, blocking other vehicles as a result.

They also said that when their company’s car drove by, she waved for them to pass.
