THAILAND – A wild elephant bulldozed its way into a house in Hua Hin in search of food at 2 am yesterday (June 20), shocking the homeowner and causing considerable damage as well.
According to local Thai media reports, Mrs. Rachadawan, 29, heard a roaring sound followed by a cacophony of objects crashing onto the ground in the kitchen while she and her family were asleep.
When she came out to inspect, she was stunned to see that the elephant had dug a gaping hole in her kitchen wall to grab a snack.

While Mrs Ratchadawan yelled repeatedly at the elephant to drive it away, it remained unfazed and even stuffed some food into its mouth before disappearing into the dark.
Although Mrs Ratchadawan was shaken at the sight of the elephant, she managed to take a few pictures and videos of it rampaging her kitchen.
She later revealed that the elephant, which goes by the name of ‘Plai Boonchuay’, had come to her house to look for food two months before it invaded her house.
“I also tried contacting the local authorities when I realised something was amiss but to no avail.”
This accident resulted in a loss of 50,000 baht (RM6,583), and renovation costs would be covered by local authorities.
Taking to Facebook to share her experience, Mrs Rachadawan wrote that the local authorities had also deployed a team to help with renovation works.
Her post has since garnered over 33,000 reactions and 32,000 shares since it was published.
