In an effort to enhance financial awareness among teenagers, the Sunway TES Centre for Accountancy Excellence (Sunway TES CAE) is organising the “MAGIC Camp”.
This initiative, tailored for SPM and IGCSE graduates, aims to provide foundational financial literacy, equipping them with essential business and financial knowledge as they prepare to step into adulthood.
An initiative for economic benefits
The event is planned and executed by ACCA and ICAEW students under the guidance of Sunway TES lecturers, the camp offers participants an opportunity to explore the Sunway Group’s approach to sustainability in business.
This is an approach that balances economic benefits with long-term environmental and social responsibility by minimising negative impacts on society and the planet.
This initiative also addresses a concerning statistic highlighted by Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), which reveals that nearly half of Malaysians are unable to come up with RM1,000 in emergencies. To address this, the camp incorporates personal finance education, aiming to boost financial literacy and preparedness among young participants.

Additionally, the camp includes an engaging Business Case Competition, where participants can apply the knowledge gained during the camp for a chance to win exciting prizes.
The competition, conducted in teams, will be judged by lecturers and industry professionals from the Sunway Education.

The MAGIC Camp will be held twice in February 2025:
· 13-15 February 2025 (Thursday to Saturday)
· 19-21 February 2025 (Wednesday to Friday)
Each session runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. This is a non-residential camp, with participants commuting from home. Accommodation will be provided for students residing outside Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

The Magic Camp fees are set at RM160 for the normal price, but participants can take advantage of the Early Bird Price of only RM120 until 15th January 2025.
