Following the heavy downpour that caused KLIA1’s roof to leak yesterday, another video from the scene has gone viral, showing a large group of airport staff working together to clear the flooded floor.
The clip was posted on Xiaohongshu by a user named Shirlyn 小小小钟, where it quickly racked up more than 13,000 likes and 2,000 shares.
In her caption, she wrote: “A cute scene captured at KLIA Terminal 1.”

Group of staff sweeping in formation
In the short video, a massive clean-up operation is seen unfolding right after the leak. A large group of KLIA1 staff swept water in unison, almost like a coordinated formation drill.
Some employees directed passengers away from the affected area while others worked together to push the water out of the walkway.
Looks unexpectedly fun
The comments section quickly filled with light-hearted reactions. Many users joked that water symbolises wealth, saying KLIA1 must be “extra prosperous this year” with that much water flowing around.
Others said the scene looked unexpectedly fun, noting how coordinated the sweeping was.
One viewer who visited KLIA1 later that night added that the clean-up was swift, writing: “I was there around 11pm and everything was already back to normal.”
KLIA previously saw ceiling water leaks
This comes after videos circulated yesterday showing rainwater pouring from the ceiling of KLIA1 following a heavy downpour in Sepang, sparking memes and comparisons to Singapore’s Jewel Rain Vortex.
While the leak drew criticism, this latest viral clip has instead shown Malaysians applauding the teamwork and turning the soggy mess into a surprisingly wholesome moment.
