SUBANG JAYA – A video showing a heartwarming act by a policeman who held an umbrella for an elderly OKU man amidst heavy rain has gone viral last Sunday (March 21).
The video showed the man in crutches emerging out of his car after parking it at the Subang Jaya police station at around 3 pm. Unfortunately, the skies began to darken, and heavy rain ensued.
A police officer named Fairul noticed this and quickly offered help by running to the man’s car and held an umbrella over him from the parking lot to the police station.
The video, which a bystander took, was later uploaded to the Subang Jaya Police District Facebook page Polis Daerah Subang Jaya, which has generated 1,000 reactions. The bystander also described the heartwarming incident in the following caption.
“I was at the police station at USJ 8 to apply for a permit for interstate travel when I saw this heartwarming scene.”
It is believed that Fairul went all the way to help the man get back into his car after he had completed his errand at the police station.
“Though surprised, I was nonetheless grateful for the policeman’s kind act. Let’s share this video out to show everyone of his kind assistance, regardless of one’s race and religion.”
