TAWAU – A one-minute video uploaded yesterday (August 18) showing hordes of people crowding at a vaccination centre (PPV) in Tawau has circulated on social media, horrifying Malaysians over the potential emergence of another COVID cluster.
Throughout the video, everyone could be seen huddling close to each other while waiting for their turn.
The incident occurred shortly after 400 walk-in vaccination spots were opened for the public across three different PPVs.
According to SinChew Daily, Tawau Municipal Council (MPT) president Arnold Joibi confirmed the incident and assured the public that the walk-in queue was separated from the appointment queue.
He also added that 200 spots will be opened daily at the PPV and urged the public to stay calm.
