USAPPS To Host Talks On Aug 9 & 10 To Guide M’sians Who Want To Study In The US

Against the backdrop of rising political uncertainty and shifting immigration policies in the United States, USAPPS 2025 offers Malaysian students much-needed guidance and clarity in navigating the complex journey to U.S. higher education.

Scheduled for August 9th and 10th at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus, with a concurrent YouTube Live broadcast, this year’s workshop carries the theme: “Through Uncertainty, Towards Clarity.”

Led entirely by students and recent alumni from top U.S. universities, USAPPS 2025 provides an honest, peer-driven platform to help aspiring applicants make well-informed decisions.

Through presentations, interactive panels, small-group mentoring, and major/university booths, participants will gain first-hand insights into both the opportunities and challenges of studying in the United States today.

Key Sessions Include:

  • Political Developments and Uncertainty in the U.S.
    A timely discussion on visa policies, student safety, and institutional responses.
  • Living the American Dream: Life & Culture Insights
    A panel exploring social and cultural realities from diverse student perspectives.
  • What I Did in My Application
    Real examples from successful applicants on essays, interviews, and recommendation letters.
  • Life After a U.S. Undergraduate Degree
    An exploration of career pathways, graduate school opportunities, and work authorization options post-graduation.

In addition, the workshop features sessions on crafting personal essays, understanding holistic admissions, selecting universities, and preparing for standardized tests like the SAT.

Students will also have access to essay review sessions, group mentoring, and booths representing a variety of U.S. universities.
