Forget keychains and fridge magnets. This American went home with what truly matters, a suitcase filled with Malaysian snacks and zero emotional closure.
Known online as Mr T, he later shared a video showing himself unpacking the goodies he brought back from Malaysia.
Unboxing at 3.14am because Malaysia is hard to move on from
In the video, Mr T admitted he still had not moved on after leaving Malaysia.
Despite being jet lagged and it being just past 3am, he began unpacking his luggage and pulling out what he called his “treasures” from Malaysia.

He shared that he had filled his luggage to the maximum simply because he did not want to leave Malaysia empty handed.
Teh tarik, snacks and Super Ring renamed “Super King”
Among the must bring items was teh tarik, which he packed in several different brands and varieties.
He also brought back coffee and snacks, including his personal favourite which he jokingly referred to as “Super King”, better known to Malaysians as Super Ring.

According to him, some of the items were things he had tried before and genuinely loved, which was why he bought them again.
On his final day in Malaysia, he noticed there was still space left in his luggage and decided to make one last supermarket run.
He admitted that while not everything in the bag was originally Malaysian, everything was bought in Malaysia and that was what mattered to him.
“If I could bring nasi lemak, I would”
Mr T said he made sure to leave space in his luggage because he knew he would miss Malaysia deeply.
He joked that if it were possible, he would have brought nasi lemak home with him too.
He also shared that he wanted to try as many Malaysian snacks as possible before leaving, and that he was struggling to sleep because he kept thinking about the things he did not manage to buy before his bag was completely full.
@random.4.you @Mr. T Malaysia “goodies” unpacking 🇲🇾➡️🇺🇸 I just got back to America and I’m unpacking the suitcase that smells like Malaysia: crunchy snacks, sweet treats, instant drinks, coffee sachets… and a ridiculous amount of teh tarik because y’all already know that’s my weakness. 😭 Choose ONE only (don’t pick two): teh tarik / snacks / coffee what’s your absolute favorite? And for real… thank you for the love on my last Malaysia song. You made the goodbye easier. I love you, Malaysia. 🤍 #TikTokMalaysia #Malaysia #MalaysianFood #TehTarik #SnackHaul ♬ original sound – Mr. T
He expressed his love and gratitude for the country, thanking Malaysians for the warmth, kindness and support he received, including the response to the song he released before leaving.
