No one wants their clothing to be stolen in broad daylight or in the dead of night, let alone their inner wear.
Unfortunately, incidents of thieves breaking in just to grab a few “souvenirs” of their own still occur every now and then, just like how one woman in Tangkak, Johor, experienced for herself.
Scoured clothes rack for underwear
In CCTV footage shared on Facebook by a woman named Nico Er, a clothes rack holding multiple items of clothing and underwear is seen placed on the front porch.
At around 4.25am, a man wearing a face mask, cap, a black shirt and pants is seen climbing into the porch from the unit next to it and making a beeline for the clothes rack.

For the next few minutes, the thief is seen circling and “inspecting” the clothes rack closely before picking out several panties, bras, and safety shorts and stuffing them into his pants.
Satisfied with his loot, the thief then climbs out from the front porch with his pants bursting at the seams.

Believed to be a “regular”
In the caption, Nico wrote that this wasn’t the first time her underwear had been stolen by the same person, who reportedly broke into her home last August.
She also sarcastically praised the thief’s skills, stating that he had become smarter in carrying out the theft by climbing into her home from another unit and stealing more underwear this round.
“Is this also your way of telling me that I need to buy new clothes since Chinese New Year is coming soon?” she jokingly added.

Reactions
Netizens were amused and puzzled by the thief’s careful picking of which underwear he wanted to steal, with some saying that it was akin to shopping.
‘This is like shopping, where he intently picks out which underwear to take.’

Another joked: ‘Next time, place a note which reads: ‘Don’t steal anymore. Marry me and I’ll let you hang the clothes.’

On a more serious note, a netizen urged Nico to lodge a police report immediately before something worse happens.
