A car driver has warned road users to remain alert after his tyre reportedly burst when he drove over what appeared to be a recently patched pothole early this morning.
The driver, identified as Khairul, shared dashcam footage of the incident on social media.
Drove pass a dark-coloured patched road
The video shows his car passing over a dark-coloured patch on the road before suddenly jolting upwards, followed by a loud bang that caused him to shout in shock.
After the incident, Khairul pulled over by the roadside and discovered that one of his car tyres had burst.

He was forced to change to a spare tyre before heading to a workshop for further inspection and repairs.

Don’t assume repaired potholes are always safe
Reflecting on the incident, Khairul reminded road users not to assume that repaired potholes are always safe to drive over, particularly on unfamiliar roads or in low-light conditions.
He also advised vehicle owners to regularly check the condition of their tyres, including spare tyres, to ensure they are prepared in the event of emergencies.
The incident has since sparked discussion online, with many sharing similar experiences and calling for greater care to be taken in road repair works.
