While we Malaysians do have times of disagreements and conflicts, we are able to put those differences aside when it comes to helping others in need.
A tourist from China was touched to see a group of Malaysians coming together in cleaning up the MRT after a passenger accidentally spilt his Milo drink onboard.
Tourist praise M’sians for working together in cleaning spilt drink
In a Xiaohongshu post shared by the tourist yesterday (Dec 16), he wrote that he was taking a ride on the MRT when a male passenger wearing a black shirt spilt his drink after he fell asleep.
As the passenger quickly bolted to his feet to clean up the mess, he was joined in by several others who didn’t hesitate to take out tissue papers to help.
The tourist admitted that while he didn’t step in to help and merely watched from a distance, he said he was nevertheless touched by the sight of Malaysians coming in to aid a complete stranger.
He added that the male passenger also gave a bow of gratitude to those who lent a hand in cleaning the MRT up.
“This was the most touching moment I had seen on the MRT — pure kindness and cooperation. Compared to the beauty we aim to reach in life, perhaps moments like these are the real, priceless beauty,” he wrote.

In the comment section, netizens were full of praise for the passengers who stepped in to help clean the spill.
