Tour Bus Crashes Into Roadside Barrier In Genting Highlands

Second bus crash in 2 weeks at Genting.
About two weeks after a previous crash, another tour bus has reportedly lost control in Genting Highlands.

Crashed into covered parking area

Reportedly today (July 2), a tour bus veered off the road and crashed into a roadside barrier before ramming into a covered parking area in Genting Highlands.

Footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing the roof of the parking area collapsing upon impact. A nearby car was also damaged in the crash.

According to Majoriti, there have been no reported casualties so far. The condition of the bus driver remains unknown, and no official statements have been released by the authorities.

The incident is believed to have taken place at a designated bus parking zone. However, it remains unclear whether there were any passengers on board during the crash.

Previous crash on 22 June

This incident comes about two weeks after a similar accident that took place on 22 June 2025.

In that case, a tour bus carrying 25 passengers lost control while heading downhill at Kilometre 12 from Genting Highlands.

The bus reportedly crashed into a roadside barrier after the driver lost control.

According to Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the 54-year-old local driver, along with two passengers — a 74-year-old Malaysian and a foreign national — sustained minor injuries.

All three victims were taken to Bentong Hospital for further treatment.
