When students get their SPM results, most would run to their parents or teachers to celebrate.
But one student had someone else in mind — the canteen aunty.
Headed straight to canteen after getting results
On April 24, SPM results were released across Malaysia, filling social media with emotional moments.
Among them, a video shared by TikTok user @sarakiroro caught people’s attention.
It showed a student named Le Qian, who scored straight As, choosing to find the school’s canteen aunty after receiving his results.
While others were busy with celebrations, Le Qian went to the canteen, where the aunty was sitting, and asked, “Aunty, can we take a photo?”
His teacher, who posted the video, said she was surprised but touched by the student’s kind gesture.
The teacher explained that many students preferred eating at the canteen instead of the hostel dining hall.
It was faster, and some students weren’t fans of the meals served at the hostel, especially when fish was on the menu.
The canteen became a cosy, familiar spot for many.
The video has gained over 543,000 views, with many praising the student for valuing everyone, not just teachers or family.
