KLANG VALLEY – A doctor working at one of the worst-hit places in the country has an ominous warning: “This is not India or Indonesia – this is Malaysia!“
Dr. Arisman took to Facebook and uploaded a heartbreaking video showing an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) brimming with patients at a hospital in the Klang Valley yesterday (July 1).

In the video, the ICU was swamped with patients suffering from severe COVID-19 symptoms, and some were sprawled along the walkway while waiting to be treated as there were insufficient beds.

These scenes paint a grim picture of Malaysia’s healthcare system that’s teething on the edge of collapse as cases continue to soar in recent weeks.

Dr Arisman also said that healthcare workers will no longer be able to provide treatment for patients if COVID-19 cases do not show any signs of improvement.
“No one wants to be in their position. But do you play your part in your daily life? Ask yourself this.

“It’s sad to see the patients’ condition, that’s true. But it’s even sadder and more painful to see our frontliners working non-stop in PPE suits for more than a year.”
At the end of his lengthy post, Dr Arisman also advised the public to fully abide by the SOPs and stay at home whenever possible.
