Raya season is that magical time of year when everything feels a little more joyful; families reunite, homes light up with decorations, and everyone (yes, everyone) gets dressed to the nines.
Whether you’re team baju kurung or baju Melayu with full samping drip, it’s all about looking good, feeling festive, and snapping that perfect OOTD.
But what if we told you that this year, even pets are stepping up their game?
In a now-viral TikTok video by @novakiarathefurryhuskies, two stylish Siberian huskies became unexpected Raya icons after showing up in traditional Malay outfits, complete with accessories that could give any human couple a run for their duit raya.
One husky wore a full baju Melayu with samping, while the other rocked a baju kurung like a seasoned fashionista.

The duo looked so coordinated and calm, they genuinely resembled a couple about to make their grand entrance at a family open house.
The video instantly melted hearts across the platform, with netizens praising the owner’s dedication, creativity, and impressive styling skills.
Many couldn’t get over how well the outfits fit or how chill the dogs looked in full festive attire.
We reached out to Priscy, the owner of Nova and Kiara, to learn more about how the viral video came to life and it turns out, there was quite a bit of effort (and chaos) behind the scenes.
She shared that the traditional outfits weren’t custom-made.
In fact, she bought them from Hari-Hari’s kids section!

“I think Nova wore a size for 12–14-year-olds and Kiara’s was for 4–6-year-olds,” Priscy laughed.
“It was still a little loose and long at the paws area, so I folded and stitched it myself.”
As for how the huskies reacted to being dressed up?
“They were super awkward at first,” she said. “But after walking around a little, they got used to it.”
The filming process, however, was no walk in the park.

“It took nearly three hours! One was walking slowly like she was modelling, and the other one was running like she was training for the Olympics,” Priscy joked.
“But we finally managed to get some shots and edit the video.”
When asked about the message behind the video, Priscy said she simply wanted to spread joy and celebrate unity.
“As Malaysians, we support each other in many ways. We received a few requests to get baju raya this year, and I fulfilled that for our NovaKiara fans. I hope people can take away that we are One Malaysia, and we should always celebrate and respect each other’s cultures.”
