If you’ve ever had a stray animal quietly look at you while you’re eating, you’ll know that mix of guilt and tenderness that follows.
That was exactly what a Malaysian woman felt when a stray dog sat nearby, patiently watching as she fed a group of stray cats.
A regular feeder of strays, she had just placed some plates of kibbles for the cats when she noticed the dog.
He didn’t bark, whine, or try to snatch the food just sat there, eyes fixed on the meal.
Moved by his patience, the woman could be heard asking, “Do you want some too?” She then scooped some kibbles onto a plate and slid it over to him.
Go on, eat… sit there and eat this cat food,” she giggled, apologising that it wasn’t the usual food for dogs.
To her surprise, the dog didn’t seem to mind at all and happily ate every bite, as though it was the best meal he had in a long time.

The comments section was flooded with appreciation and blessings with comments such as ‘Thank you for feeding him‘ and ‘May God bless you always’.
Others shared their own experiences of giving cat food to stray dogs when they had nothing else, saying it was better to fill their stomachs than let them go hungry.
