A woman in Thailand was left grievously injured at the hands of her husband simply because she woke him up from his slumber for breakfast.
As a result of the assault, she had to have her head stitched up and has vowed not to live with him ever again.

According to a report by Thai news outlet Workpoint News, the incident took place in Kalasin Province yesterday (Apr 23) at 9am.
The woman, Vanit (transliteration), told reporters that she had woken her husband up for breakfast. However, this angered him and it descended into a verbal argument.
Eventually, Vanit fled to her uncle’s house for refuge as the argument got out of hand. Unfortunately, she was struck in the head with a gun by her husband who allegedly followed her.
Due to the assault, Vanit required four stitches for her head wound but has yet to call the police on her husband.
As such, she was urged by her relatives to file legal action against him as this wasn’t the first time he had been physically violent with her.
‘Never living with him again’
Despite the injury, Vanit expressed her willingness to forgive her husband, provided he performed the Khan Ha ritual — a traditional apology involving five items — as well as asking for her forgiveness sincerely.
However, she remained adamant in her resolve to not live under the same roof with him in the future.
While Vanit and her husband have no children throughout their one-year relationship, she has five children from a previous relationship.
Vanit’s aunt later confirmed that the assault did take place at her home, where she saw the entire incident unfold.
Although it’s not known whether drugs were involved, Vanit’s aunt believes the couple’s marriage is at the point of no return.
Bad habits die hard
Vanit’s father-in-law expressed sorrow and disappointment over his son’s actions, adding that his time in prison had failed to help him turn over a new leaf.
He said he had previously implored with his son to avoid drugs, violence, and illegal activities, but admitted that the latter was beyond help if he continued in his ways.
