A couple’s argument in Chonburi took a dramatic turn when a woman slashed her boyfriend on the head after he accidentally touched her newly operated nose.
Accident happened during a heated argument
According to Thai media, rescue teams in Laem Chabang were called to a condominium after reports of a couple fighting.
When they arrived, they found the boyfriend bleeding heavily from a seven centimetre cut on his head.
His shirt was soaked in blood and he appeared to be in pain. The girlfriend stood right next to him and was also covered in blood.
GF said she “heard a crack” on her nose
The girlfriend told officers that both of them had been shouting at each other before they started pushing. In the midst of it, the boyfriend’s hand accidentally hit her nose.
She had just undergone cosmetic nose surgery about a month earlier and said she heard a cracking sound the moment it was touched.
Panicking that her nose might be damaged, she said she became overwhelmed with anger. She rushed to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and struck him on the head once.
She added that the boyfriend did not even try to dodge, as if accepting responsibility for accidentally hurting her nose.
She apologised after calming down
The girlfriend said she immediately felt regret once she calmed down and later apologised for what she did.
Rescue personnel gave the boyfriend first aid before sending him to the hospital. The girlfriend went along with him in the ambulance.
Couple seen holding hands despite the injury
Even after the attack, the couple were seen sitting close to each other and holding hands. Both appeared emotional but still concerned about each other’s well being.
When asked if he wanted to press charges, the boyfriend told officers, “I do not want to pursue the case.”
He was later taken to Laem Chabang Hospital for treatment.
