Angered by his ex-lover’s refusal to reconcile with him, a man in Thailand resorted to throwing a grenade right towards her home in Surat Thani.
However, nothing could have prepared him for the fact that he would be the one to lose his life to the grenade instead of his ex-girlfriend.
Thai man throws grenade at ex-GF’s home after failed reconciliation
According to a Facebook post by Thai news outlet Khaosod English, the man had gone to his ex-girlfriend’s house yesterday (May 25) after he failed to convince her to get back together with him.

He then picked up an M26 grenade which didn’t explode right away after he threw it towards her house. Unfortunately, when he went for the second attempt, the grenade went off and took him down with it.
Following the explosion, three elderly individuals, who were the woman’s relatives, sustained injuries. As for the woman herself, she escaped unhurt as she had fled into the house before the grenade exploded.
Man previously jailed for drug offenses
Police later arrived at the scene after they were notified of the incident.
There, they uncovered 500 grams of grammes of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ‘ice’ inside the man’s car, which suffered substantial damage from the explosion.

Police records also showed that the man had previously been for five months for drug-related offenses back in 2020.
