Child abduction cases are not new, and parents around the world continue to worry about their children’s safety.
To prepare kids for such dangers, many schools and parents now introduce awareness drills, teaching them not to trust or follow strangers.
Kindergarten holds kidnap simulation
Recently, a kindergarten in Nakhon Si Thammarat, southern Thailand, carried out a simulation exercise to educate students about abduction risks.
In a viral TikTok video shared by a user named Salisa, a female teacher disguised herself as a “kidnapper.”
She pretended to abduct one of the young boys, even carrying a parang-like object while trying to drag him out of the classroom.

Child turns the tables
However, things didn’t go as planned. While being pulled, the boy stumbled to the floor and noticed a broom lying nearby.
Without hesitation, he picked it up, adjusted his kopiah (cap), and began swinging the broom at the teacher in self-defense.

The unexpected reaction left everyone in stitches, as the child ran around the schoolyard chasing the “kidnapper” teacher with the broom while she tried to escape.
Teachers amused by his spontaneous act
Another teacher quickly ran over to calm the boy down, while others who were recording the scene couldn’t help but laugh at his spontaneous act of bravery.
The boy’s reaction, though unintended, perfectly captured the purpose of the drill: to remind children not to let strangers take advantage of them and to think fast in moments of danger.
