Instead of having a bigger version of a penis, a man in Taiwan lost his life several hours after the surgery ended.
To make matters worse, it was later revealed that the doctor who carried out the procedure had a checkered past as well as a criminal record for manslaughter.
Went lifeless hours after operation
The operation took place at a medical aesthetic clinic on Jinzhou Street in Taipei’s Zhongshan District on Sept 17, where the man paid NT$400,000 (approximately RM55,800) for it.

The man went under anaesthesia at 9am and the procedure ended by noon, after which he remained at the clinic to recover, Taiwanese media reported.
At around 7pm, clinic staff went to check on him and found that he had no pulse and wasn’t breathing. The man was later pronounced dead by paramedics when they arrived at the scene.
Investigation
Police were later informed of the incident and the man’s sister rushed to the clinic after hearing the news.
She questioned the doctor’s qualifications and whether the procedure had followed standard practices, reported ET Today.
A doctor named Ding was later arrested, while a nurse who assisted during the procedure was summoned to aid investigations. An autopsy is expected to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Had past record of malpractice
Ding was later found to have been convicted of manslaughter after a patient died following a penile implant surgery, according to Liberty Times Net.

He was previously sued by three women who suffered complications from breast augmentation surgeries.
Ding had also faced lawsuits over alleged fraud and sexual harassment, most of which were settled privately.
He also has a history of questionable practices, where in 2022, he carried out breast surgery on a woman under full anaesthesia without proper safety checks and allowed an unqualified roommate to assist during surgeries.
One patient developed a serious infection but was told she did not need to see a doctor, forcing her to call emergency services herself. Others complained of severe tissue inflammation and scarring after their procedures.
