A man in Taiwan could hardly believe his eyes when he stumbled upon the sight of his girlfriend lying dead in a hot spring bath last Sunday (Feb 8).
In fact, the shock took such a toll on him that he collapsed and passed away due to a suspected heart attack.
Had GF relax at hot spring bath
According to Sin Chew Daily, the man named Li was a parking lot employee at a hot spring restaurant in Taipei City.
On the day of the incident, Li made his girlfriend Guo rest and soak in the hot spring room as the restaurant was attending to tons of customers on a weekend.
Suffered heart attack
At 5pm, a colleague approached Li and informed him that Guo had been inside the hot spring room for a long time.
When he went to check on Guo, Li saw that she had died while in the hot spring bath.
Li became so emotionally distraught that he collapsed to the ground due to an alleged heart attack.
At 5.53pm, police arrived at the scene after receiving a report. Paramedics who were also there found that Li was breathing faintly while Guo was already dead, reported msn.com.
Li died at the hospital at 7pm after he was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Both of Li and Guo’s families were later informed of the tragedy.
A forensic examination of the scene found no evidence of a struggle or external force.
An autopsy is expected to be requested by police so that they can determine what caused Li and Guo’s death.
