Concertgoers never fail to amaze with the lengths they’ll go to snag tickets for their favorite artists. From camping overnight to enduring endless online queues, fans stop at nothing to see their idols live. But what you’re about to hear might just be the wildest yet.
Man offers to trade house for 6 Jay Chou concert tickets
In an unexpected twist, a man in Taiwan has taken his passion for Jay Chou’s music to new heights, offering to trade his house for six VIP tickets to the artist’s sold-out concert.
This audacious proposal quickly gained traction online, leaving social media abuzz with a mix of admiration, amusement, and disbelief.
The quest for Jay Chou tickets
As the “King of Mandopop,” Jay Chou has an immense following, with concert tickets that disappear within minutes of going on sale.
Like many of Chou’s fans, this man was desperate to secure a spot at the sold-out concert, so he posted an offer in a Facebook group: his small house in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in exchange for six VIP seats.
He made it clear that this was no joke or scam and even included proof of his property’s deed to reassure potential ticket-holders. However, he had one strict condition.
I want six consecutive seats in either Zone A3 or A4 in the front row for the December 7 concert date.
A fair trade?
Each VIP ticket in the zones costs 6,880 yuan (about RM935), meaning the six tickets would be worth roughly 41,280 yuan (about RM5,612).
By comparison, his house is worth far more, making this a significantly generous offer for anyone willing to part with the highly coveted tickets.
I’m the only one attending, but I want six seats so I can stand out
Initially, it seemed he wanted tickets for friends, but the man later clarified he’d be going alone.
