A 40-year-old Singaporean woman was detained after Malaysian authorities discovered that the Ford Mustang GT she rented was being driven with expired road tax.
The incident took place along the MRR2 highway around 7.21pm yesterday, according to Kosmo!.
Road tax expired & no insurance
Kuala Lumpur Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Hamidi Adam said that checks found the vehicle’s Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM) had expired on 13 November.
The Mustang was also not covered by any valid insurance.
He said the woman had rented the car for a one-day period from a car rental company.
The car was rented by the woman from a car rental company for one day.”
The Mustang was later seized for further action.
