A routine visit to a massage parlour in Phuket turned tragic when a 52-year-old Singaporean man, identified as Mr. Lee, passed away unexpectedly on last Saturday, 7 December 2024.

Incident at Patong Beach Massage Parlour
The report states that the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. at a massage parlour on Patong Beach, a popular tourist destination in Phuket.
Police Colonel Chalermchai Hernsawat, superintendent of Patong Police Station, confirmed the details.
Staff and emergency responders attempted CPR after Mr. Lee began exhibiting breathing difficulties, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Patong Hospital.
Medical professionals believe Mr. Lee passed away at the parlour before emergency services arrived.

No Foul Play Suspected, Says Wife
Mr. Lee’s wife, who was with him during the incident, stated that she does not suspect foul play.
She cited his pre-existing health conditions as the probable cause of his death and requested to repatriate his body to Singapore for religious ceremonies, declining an autopsy.
According to Mr. Lee’s wife, he led a sedentary lifestyle, had inadequate rest, and rarely exercised.
On the day of the incident, he consumed beer before visiting the parlour, a place he frequented during his visits to Phuket.
The massage session, lasting 45 minutes, seemed to proceed normally. However, after finishing the session and while resting, staff noticed loud snoring sounds, later identified as agonal breathing.
He became unresponsive shortly after.
