A video of a heated argument on an MRT train in Singapore has gone viral online after a passenger threatened to expose a woman online for placing her handbag on a train seat.
The clip, shared on Instagram account on Jan 18, shows a woman seated at the end of a row on a train.
Based on the video, the train did not appear very crowded, with several empty seats visible.
The person filming then confronted the seated woman next to her about placing her bag on the seat.
She sarcastically remarked that it was “interesting” that a handbag had taken up a seat, and asked if the bag had paid fare to sit there. She also claimed she had asked the woman to move the bag, but was refused.
The seated woman responded by asking if the videographer had a problem and whether she needed medication, even offering to share some if she did not have any.
Both passengers then pushed the handbag back and forth, with the videographer insisting she had paid for the seat, while the seated woman replied that she did not care.

As the argument escalated, the videographer threatened to put the woman “on the internet”, warning that she would make her “famous” and scolded her by saying her child “never teach you manners”.
The video ends when the train stopped at a station. The seated woman got up and left, while the videographer continued scolding her.
However, most netizens did not take the videographer’s side.
Many said the train did not look crowded enough to justify the argument, while others criticised the decision to film and upload the disagreement, saying not every dispute needed to be recorded.
