S’pore Driver Crashes Ferrari Into Barrier In Pahang, Car Bursts Into Flames

Singaporean couple escaped unharmed, but driver fined for losing control of the vehicle.
A scenic road trip from Singapore took a dramatic turn when a Ferrari 458 Spider caught fire after crashing into a road barrier in Rompin at Pahang.

The incident happened at around 10.40am on 16 May 2025 along Kilometre 110 of Jalan Kuantan–Segamat, near the Kampung Gadak bridge in Muadzam Shah.

The driver, a 34-year-old IT engineer from Singapore, was travelling with his girlfriend en route to Cherating, Kuantan.

He reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and slam into a roadside barrier

Completely burned, but both escaped

Following the impact, the luxury sports car caught fire and was entirely destroyed in the blaze.

According to the police statement, both the driver and his girlfriend fortunately managed to escape just in time and did not suffer any injuries.

Fined for losing control

According to Harian Metro, the man was fined under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59) for failing to control the vehicle, which resulted in the accident.

Police have since reminded the public to always drive carefully and adhere to road safety rules at all times.
