Malaysia’s pop queen made headlines once again — this time for delivering a heartfelt Mandarin performance in front of none other than China President Xi Jinping.
According to The Star, to honour President Xi Jinping’s first official visit to Malaysia since 2013, a grand state banquet was hosted at Istana Negara by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

The elegant evening was not only a symbol of strong diplomatic ties between the two nations but also a cultural showcase of Malaysia’s finest traditions.
Guests were treated to local delicacies including satay, otak-otak, nasi briyani, and an assortment of traditional Nyonya and Malay kuihs.
Performances by the National Department for Culture and Arts and local talents brought colour and charm to the night — but the most talked-about moment came courtesy of Siti Nurhaliza.
A voice that stole the spotlight
Siti Nurhaliza, Malaysia’s beloved songstress, took centre stage with an unexpected yet stunning performance of the classic Mandarin ballad, “The Moon Represents My Heart”.
A video of the performance, shared by Malaysian politician Sim Tze Tzin on his TikTok account @yb.sim, quickly gained traction.
At the time of writing, it has racked up over 300,000 views and more than a thousand comments.
