Everyone knows that cats operate on their own vibe—some days they’re all cuddles, and other days, they act like they don’t even know you.
But one thing is universal: If a cat wants to be left alone, you better back off unless you’re ready for some drama.
And one TikToker learned this lesson the hard way when she tried to mess with a cat that clearly had no time for shenanigans.
Even cats need personal space—And this diva cat isn’t having it
In a now-viral TikTok posted by @dalilooooo, a feline king was caught lounging on top of a red car, unbothered and looking like it owned the whole street.
The 11-second clip, cheekily captioned “respect his privacy please,” starts with the cat minding its own business.
That is, until a woman decided to poke the beast—literally—by giving its tail a playful tap. The cat, clearly offended, gave a polite “meow,” as if to say, “Sis, don’t test me.”
But she tested it anyway.
The woman tapped the cat’s tail again, and this time, the feline was done being nice. With lightning-fast reflexes, it threw a paw her way, channeling its inner kung-fu master.
You’d think that would be the end of it, but nope—our brave human decided to push her luck even further.
She leaned in with her phone to record the kitty in all its grumpy glory.
This time, the cat didn’t hold back—it went full paparazzi smackdown and swatted her phone out of the way.
The woman, laughing, said, “He doesn’t want me to record.” Well, that cat made it crystal clear: No photos, no autographs.
And, in the most cat-like fashion ever, it immediately licked itself—like nothing had even happened. That’s right, a “don’t mess with me” swipe, followed by a casual lick, as if to say, “Anyway, back to my day.”
‘Other times, he’s just not in the mood‘
We reached out to Dalila, the mastermind behind the video, who told WeirdKaya that the entire incident went down at Kolej Kediaman Nilam Court at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).
She added that the cat is a familiar face in the area, always hanging around like it owns the place.
When asked if the cat always acts like a diva, Dalila said:
“Not really. Sometimes he’s affectionate and even follows people into their rooms. Other times, he’s just not in the mood. You know how it is.”
The video has racked up laughs all over TikTok, with viewers relating to the cat’s no-nonsense vibe.
“Tabby cats really don’t play. You tap their tail once, they’ll hit you ten times.”
“😾: Don’t record me 🫵🏻.”
Moral of the story? Cats have moods—and when they say, “Leave me alone,” they mean it. This cat didn’t just demand space—it took it, one swat at a time.
