Giant Sinkhole Appears In Kampung Kerinchi Due To Collapsed Drain

Another one.
Following the shocking incident of an Indian tourist plunging several metres down a sinkhole at Masjid India last week, Malaysians are now feeling a bit skittish about walking along the sidewalk.

Unfortunately, their fears were not abated after another sinkhole made its appearance in KL, this time at Kampung Kerinchi.

As seen from one of the photos, a large portion of the sidewalk had completely collapsed, resulting in a large hole being formed.

In the post’s caption, DBKL wrote that it was aware of the incident, adding that the council had taken the necessary steps in securing the area at 10pm yesterday (Aug 26).

While the cause for the sinkhole remains unknown, it is believed to have been caused by a collapsed drain.
