Rice, sambal, egg, anchovies, and peanuts are the must-have ingredients for a packet of nasi lemak. If you love it as much as Malaysians do, you will notice that the egg comes in different forms, be it hard-boiled, sunny-side up, or as an omelette.
Yesterday, Facebook user Muhammad Adam shared two photos of a packet of nasi lemak he had to a Facebook group named “Kelakar Apa Hari Ini?” (What’s funny today?) which has garnered over 6,000 reactions.
The photos showed a slice of an omelette so thin that you could almost see right through it sitting on top of the rice and sambal. He wrote the following caption:
“Want to be different from others? Try nasi lemak with a super-thin egg slice!”
Netizens were tickled by Muhammad‘s post and posted their thoughts at the comment section.
▼ “Please help to ask how many pieces can be formed from a single egg.”
▼ “I thought it was a DiGi SIM card. Turns out it was an egg!”
▼ “You got it at a budget price. Be grateful.”
▼”The one I bought looked much better…”
▼ “Well, as long as there is egg in it, hahaha.”
