What better way to celebrate 25 sweet years than with a car?
Kara, Malaysia’s trusted coconut brand, ended its silver anniversary campaign Legasi Kara, Sempurnakan Raya on a high note, honouring contest winners in a heartwarming ceremony at Perodua Glenmarie.
Taking the spotlight was Grand Prize winner Ummi Habibah Binti Ibarhim, who drove away in a brand-new Perodua Alza MPV.

Her name was drawn from thousands of entries submitted nationwide. Also recognised were First Prize winners Ahmad Firdaus Bin Saidin, Goh Jian Rong, and Zamzarina Bin Mohd Badawi, each walking home with a 25g gold bar.
RM350,000 in Prizes for Loyal Fans
The nationwide contest, which ran from 19 February to 15 May 2025, was Kara’s way of thanking the generations of Malaysians who have kept their iconic coconut products on the shelves and in their kitchens.
With over RM350,000 worth of prizes, the campaign rewarded Kara’s most loyal fans in a big way.
Apart from the Grand and First Prize winners, 10 lucky Second Prize winners received RM2,500 shopping vouchers each.

To top it off, 1,000 Weekly Prize winners got their hands on limited-edition Christy Ng x Kara batik-inspired tote bags and Touch ’n Go reload pins – tokens of appreciation from the brand that’s been part of Malaysia’s food culture for decades.
“It Was Never Just About the Prizes”

“Our heartfelt congratulations to all our winners. This contest was never just about prizes, it was our way of saying thank you to the many Malaysians who have embraced Kara as part of their culinary traditions for the past 25 years,” said Susanto, General Manager of Kara Marketing Malaysia.
The Legasi Kara, Sempurnakan Raya campaign was more than just festive cheer.
It was a multi-layered celebration of heritage, filled with meaningful milestones including a Malaysia Book of Records title for the most bubur lambuk distributed to welfare homes in a single day.
Honouring the Past, Present & Future Through Batik
Kara also introduced three limited-edition batik-themed packaging designs, symbolising its journey through the past, present, and future.
These packs weren’t just a treat for the eyes, they were a nod to the brand’s deep roots and forward-looking vision.
The celebration didn’t stop at packaging. With the help of culinary legend Dato’ Chef Ismail and several well-known food KOLs, Kara served up delicious inspiration through festive recipes, bringing families together around the dining table.
Dancing into the Digital Raya Spirit
In another fun twist, Kara invited Malaysians to celebrate with rhythm and joy through the Legasi Kara Dance Challenge, in collaboration with beloved artists Ernie Zakri and Syamel.
The challenge brought Raya vibes to TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, encouraging people to celebrate in their own unique ways.
A Legacy Sealed with Gratitude

“Legasi Kara was more than just a campaign, it was our way of honouring the generations of Malaysians who have welcomed Kara into their homes for the past 25 years,” said Jessi Choong, Kara’s Head of Marketing.
From our limited-edition batik packs to the bubur lambuk distribution, every touchpoint was designed to celebrate our roots while staying meaningful and relevant to today’s families.”
As the curtain falls on Legasi Kara, Sempurnakan Raya, Kara leaves behind more than just a car, gold, and tote bags, it leaves behind a legacy of love, flavour, and community that continues to grow with every celebration.
