A couple from Selangor struck it big after winning RM23.53 million in the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 draw on Feb 7.
The 49-year-old marketing manager and her 66-year-old retired partner recently collected their prize at the STM Lottery head office.
Bet based on family IC digits
The couple placed a standard RM2 bet on the numbers 6777 and 5085, where the winning ticket brought them a total of RM23,532,445.40.
We have been playing these numbers for many years and never imagined they would one day bring us such a life-changing win,” said the woman in a statement.
She shared that the numbers were inspired by the last four digits of their family members’ identity cards.
According to the couple, the retiree usually selects and keeps track of the numbers.
The woman handles the purchases and typically spends between RM200 and RM300 each time she visits a Toto outlet.
They described the jackpot as a timely “big ang pow” ahead of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Plans for the windfall
The couple said they plan to use the prize money to expand their business, buy a house, and set aside savings for the future.
STM Lottery confirmed that the win came from Draw No. 6086/26, and the winning ticket was sold in Selangor.
