While it’s understandable that one would feel deeply upset when there are no bonuses for the year, some act erratically and resort to drastic measures to make their unhappiness known.
A woman in Singapore was so pushed to the absolute edge that she not walked away from her job in anger, but also took the company laptop with her too.

In a now-viral Reddit post titled: “Ex-colleague rage-quit and took company laptop as ‘bonus’, the OP wrote he came to know of the situation when he got a call from his former boss.
According to him, the woman decided to call it quits on her job out of the blue and threw in a 24-hour resignation letter instead of serving the notice period.
And if that wasn’t absurd enough, she even took the company laptop, a MacBook Pro, based on an equally baffling reason.
Her reasoning? That the laptop is her “contra” for the bonus she thinks she’s entitled to.”
No bonus due to financial woes
The OP later spoke to MS News about the incident, where he confirmed it took place at a Food and Beverage (F&B) company that manufactured sauces, where he previously worked as a Sales Manager.
According to him, the woman stormed out on her job when it was revealed that the company wouldn’t be giving out bonuses this year due to financial difficulties.
“While the company never guaranteed bonuses, the employees have been receiving them for the past few years.
“I also advised my former boss to lodge a police report immediately when he asked for my advice on how to handle the situation,” he said.
Backlash from netizens
Needless to say, the woman’s outrageous reaction was roundly condemned by netizens, who slammed her for committing theft over what seemed to be a minor issue.
‘Sounds like a super immature employee. Well, that’s theft through and through. If they really wanted to pursue it, can become a police case.’
‘Sounds more like glorified theft. She should enjoy her ‘bonus’ before the man and women in blue invite her for coffee.’
