At most buildings, there are lanes designed specifically for different types of vehicles so that traffic can flow smoothly without much disruptions.
However, there are instances where drivers simply find themselves unintentionally driving on the wrong lane or attempting to maneuver their way even when it’s clear that it’s not going to work.
SG-registered Mercedes tries to squeeze through motorbike lane
In a short but hilarious clip shared on TikTok by @123iloveyoumuah, it showed a white Mercedes bearing a Singaporean plate number seemingly having a hard time driving through a lane.
It later emerged that the Mercedes was actually trying to squeeze its way through the lane which was meant only for motorcycles.
Instead of reversing the vehicle out and heading towards a lane designed for cars, the driver seemed insistent on trying his luck and was seen reversing and moving forward several times but to no avail.
According to the caption, the incident reportedly took place at the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (BSI) complex in Johor Bahru.
However, it’s not revealed how the Mercedes ended up being on the motorbike lane in the first place.

The clip has since garnered over 60,000 views thus far and netizens were amused by the Mercedes driver’s failed attempts to squeeze the vehicle through the narrow motorbike lane.
‘Did he forget that he was driving a car?’
‘Must be his first time driving to Malaysia.’
Meanwhile, some slammed the Malaysian authorities for not stopping the Mercedes from driving straight into the motorcycle lane.
