SG Man Who Kicked M’sian’s Car Allegedly Linked To Another Road Rage Case In 2023

Repeat offender.
A Singaporean man arrested for a road rage incident in Johor on June 7, 2025, is now facing further scrutiny after being linked to a similar confrontation in 2023 involving the same car.

The most recent altercation came to public attention when Facebook user Vicky Sing shared a video showing the man kicking her boyfriend’s BMW during a traffic standoff at Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/4, Taman Sutera Utama, Skudai.

In her June 7 post, Sing described how the man, driving a Singapore-registered Toyota Altis, aggressively confronted her boyfriend over traffic congestion, verbally harassed him, spat at him, and kicked their vehicle, causing visible damage.

Police arrested the suspect on June 8, and he is currently under investigation for committing mischief under Section 426 of the Penal Code and for using insulting words or gestures under Section 509.

Alleged repeat offender

On June 9, Sing followed up by sharing an earlier Facebook post dated October 6, 2023, by another user who claimed to have had a nearly identical encounter with the same driver.

The user alleged that while stopped at a police roadblock in Malaysia, the same man suddenly exited his car and kicked his vehicle, causing a visible hole in the bodywork.

Accompanying photos and a video show a man in similar attire and the same Singapore-registered Toyota Altis reacting aggressively during the 2023 incident.

The resurfaced footage shows the man angrily shouting and delivering a forceful kick to the car before returning to his own vehicle.

Cost of damage

In a separate post, Sing also revealed that repairing the damage from the June 2025 incident would cost RM9,300, based on a quotation they received.

A photograph of the dent, shared in her post, shows the extent of the impact on the BMW.

Public reaction and police statement

The two incidents have since gone viral, drawing sharp public criticism.

Many social media users questioned how the man was able to repeat such acts without prior consequence.

Johor Bahru Utara District Police confirmed the arrest on June 8, stating that the suspect had no previous criminal record and tested negative for drugs.
