Mobile phones are no doubt one of our most prized possessions as it acts as a ‘storehouse’ for special moments we would want to reminisce on.
A Singaporean man is offering a hefty reward for anyone who’s able to return his wife’s handphone after she misplaced it.
SG man offers RM32K reward for return of iPhone 15 Pro Max
In a Facebook post shared by Joseph Phua yesterday (Oct 16), he wrote that his wife lost her iPhone 15 Pro Max at Ion Shopping Mall’s toilet at around 2pm.
He added that he has since been tracking the phone’s ‘trip’ after it was taken by someone and listed the three places the phone had gone to — 21 Terrasse Lane, Punggol East Container Park, and 232C Sumang Lane.
Phua said he suspects the person who took the phone lives at Sumang Lane, adding that a police report has been lodged.
The phone has been locked remotely and its Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number has been reported to the police as misappropriated.
“If an attempt is made to sell the phone anywhere, the police will be notified and it will be tracked down,” he wrote.
In an attempt to retrieve back his wife’s iPhone 15 Pro Max, Phua made a poster pleading for the public’s help and offered a whopping S$10,000 (approx. RM32,000) reward for those who succeeded in doing so.
Additionally, he wrote that anyone who’s able to locate the phone can send him an email via returntwoyears@gmail.com for the handover and be given the cash reward “with no questions asked”.
Meanwhile, those who provide leads that prove to be helpful in finding the phone will get a S$5,000 (approx. RM16,000) reward.
‘It has great sentimental value’
Speaking to MS News, Phua said his wife’s phone contained two years’ worth of photos, which included those of his sons and family, adding that it held “great sentimental value”.
He also revealed that his wife’s iPhone has a clear case with a cat-themed PopSocket attached to it.
