For individuals who work in certain sectors, they might not have the luxury of sitting at a food stall to have a meal during lunch hour and instead have to be creative in preparing their meals.
A man in Singapore recently went viral with a video of him cooking himself a simple meal of fried rice with ikan bilis while perched several stories high on a tower crane.
SG man cooks ikan bilis fried rice while on tower crane
In the 1-minute 16-second video posted by @sgtowercrane on TikTok, it showed the OP first asking his colleague to deliver him a can of Coke while he was seated at the very top of a tower crane.

After quenching his thirst with it, the OP then moved on to prepare his lunch, which was fried rice with ikan bilis.
First, he took out a small rice cooker and emptied a small amount of oil into it before switching it on. After waiting a while for the oil to heat up, he then put the ikan bilis, garlic, chili, and onions into the rice cooker before giving it a good stir.
After sauteing the ingredients, the OP took out an egg and cracked it into the sizzling cooker before stirring it again.

Last but not least, he took out a packet of rice and put it into the cooker and stirred it thoroughly so that the ingredients were spread out evenly before finishing it off with a small amount of salt.
Towards the end of the clip, it showed the OP enjoying his freshly cooked fried rice and ended it with him showing a completely empty rice cooker and a thumbs-up.

Netizens amazed
The clip has since garnered 1.3 million views at the time of writing along with comments from netizens who were impressed by the OP’s ability to cook himself a meal while sitting on top of the tower crane.
‘Bro at the top eating healthier than me on (the) ground buying fast food.’

‘The people on top of the crane are busy cooking lunch, while me who works from home (WFH) has to think 2-3 times of whether to cook or order food.’

One jokingly suggested the OP to open a cafe of his own at the tower crane so that others can taste his cooking.
